Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The Kitchen Assistant will support our culinary staff in meal preparation, food handling, and kitchen organization.
Duties:
- Assist in fresh food preparation under the guidance of the kitchen staff across breakfast and lunch service
- Help with cooking tasks such as chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Presentation of meals to a high standard
- HACCP recording
- Adhere to food safety standards and guidelines and company policies and procedures
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation and handling deliveries of stock
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred
- Flexible with working hours, must include weekend work
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment and be a confident communicator
- Understanding of Health & Safety and food safety practices and procedures
- Hold a relevant food safety qualification would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided
- Willingness to learn and take direction from culinary professionals

Pay: Up to £12.00 per hour
